Have you been missing a bit of the old “Hangin’ Tough”? Not as much as the New Kids on the Block have been missing a sustainable source of income. They’re back, bulging and sagging a bit, but keen to hit the celebrity scene once more with a new album and a tour. We think this is wonderful news. We saw The Surreal Life when Jordan Knight attempted to sing (we think that was singing…technically). We will love this, though we’ll also put out a PSA that all dogs should be locked in soundproof rooms for the duration of the tour.

Our only advice to NKOTB is to heed the portend set forth by the 2006 film BoyTown (which was in part inspired by them), the plot of which is basically this ”comeback” decision. It’s a salient lesson and a rather surprise ending to the “aging boy band comes back to life” tale.
