Sheryl Crow has announced that she will soon be working with Fleetwood Mac-presumably on a new CD and/or a tour.

The problem is, Fleetwood Mac says there are no plans to record or tour with Sheryl Crow.

We are shocked that two such low profile and drama-free musical acts would be involved in controversy. Crow, who has bashed her hometown St. Louis, splashed her relationship with Lance Armstrong all over the media, and got into a hissy fight with Karl Rove over global warming at the White House, certainly does her best to avoid the public eye.

Of course, Crow could still take a few tips on distinguished celebrity behavior from the legendary supergroup. After all, other than 40 years of public feuding, extramarital affairs, concert performances plagued with alcohol and drug use, bankruptcy, religious cults, mental illness, rampant addiction, and, let’s call it….embarrassing wardrobe choices, Fleetwood Mac has been the epitome of model behavior. Never mind the fact that Stevie Nicks says that ex-lover and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham “wasn’t very nice to her” on the last tour and she is not even sure if she is willing to work with him again.

Buckingham, the same man who has allegedly hurled insults at her, slapped her, kicked her, thrown her around the house like a rag doll, not to mention the fact that he has repeatedly made fun of her in the press.

“Not very nice to me”? After everything else he has supposedly done to you, what’s left, Stevie, tying you to a piano bench and killing kittens in front of you while playing Sheryl Crow’s music at high volume? And yes, being forced to listen to Sheryl Crow is probably the worst part.

Sheryl, learn from former Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie, who ran to the hills and retired to England. After 30 years in the band, she couldn’t get away fast enough! Trust us, the last thing you need is MORE drama in your life, and the last thing Fleetwood Mac needs is to add a trailer park element to their persona.
