Christopher Ciccone’s book about about his celebrity sister Madonna is set for release July 15.

Ciccone, 47, has reportedly been working on a biography about his older sister for years, and his publicist promises one big, explosive, earth-shattering secret about Madonna that will be revealed before the last chapter.

We are curious what ON EARTH there could be in this book that hasn’t been widely reported already? What could possibly be left about Madonna that we haven’t already seen in intimate detail? Is there anyone left who has slept with the singer that we haven’t already heard from?

This couldn’t POSSIBLY be a publicity stunt to sell more copies of the book, could it? This isn’t the first stunt that the publishing company has attempted when it comes to the release of this book. An original plan to keep the author of the book a secret was abandoned to avoid a repeat of the disastrous release of a biography about Princess Diana that tried the same approach, which resulted in many readers feeling duped and many angry retailers refusing to stock the book.

Simon and Schuster revealed that Ciccone was the author and next decided to play up the “brother with a big bad secret” angle. Ciccone worked closely with his sister until the mid-90s, serving as artistic director for her Blond Ambition Tour and director and production designer on her Girlie Show tour.

Bad blood between the two reportedly started when Madonna outed her brother as a gay man in the 1990 film Truth or Dare.

While never one to shy away from publicity (and often inventing the scandalous news stories herself), we can’t help but think that allegations of a recent affair with baseball star Alex Rodriguez which may or may not have broken up his marriage and a unflattering biography written by a bitter brother is not the type of publicity that the new and improved English Madge is wanting these days.
