On Tuesday, Christian Bale, the star of the new batman movie “The Dark Knight” was arrested, questioned and released by London police. The incident occurred after his mother and sister brought assault charges against him Sunday night before Monday’s British Dark Night premiere. British media reported that Bale’s mother and sister said he assaulted them at the Dorchester Hotel in London. At the police station Tuesday, the 34-year-old star spent four hours co-operating with authorities and denying allegations of assault made by his mother and sister. In England the policy is to arrest a suspect before questioning him in connection to a possible crime and Bale was not formally charged. Bale’s attorneys released a statement on Tuesday stating that as Bale attended a London police station on a voluntary basis in order assist with an allegation that he denies.
