Justin Disses: While ushering Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Monday night, Justin Timberlake didn’t miss the chance to dis on an ex-girlfriend or two. He said, “The world is full of Madonna wannabees. I might have even dated a couple, but there is truly only one Madonna.” Ouch. I guess next time one of his exes gets to induct a venerated pop star into the Hall of Fame, she can take a potshot at him.

Britney Acts Up: Britney Spears still doesn’t have custody of her kids, and she’s still under the conservatorship of her father, who controls her estate and is allowed to issue her a debit card for a judge-decreed weekly spending limit. But she’s going to take a break from all that recuperating and rebuilding her life to film a guest stint on CBS’ series “How I Met Your Mother.” All we can say is, “thank you, God!” We don’t know what we’d do without seeing a problem-plagued pop star in a funny turn as a dermatologist’s receptionist. The episode is slated for a March 24th showing. We’re so glad she’s got her priorities straight, at last!

Paula’s Purloined Pee: Paula Abdul revealed to David Letterman last night that an obsessed fan once stole a specimen she’d left at her gynecologist’s office. She didn’t specify what the sample was, and we don’t want to speculate because, well, we just don’t want to. Letterman assumed it was a urine sample, and we’re happy to follow his lead. A worker in the office revealed that she had taken it for her son, who was Paula’s biggest fan. We can’t help but wonder how one would display such a prize, and exactly what good a souvenir of that type might be. Maybe if you hold it to your ear, you hear bad 80’s synth-pop.

George Says “I don’t.”: Despite reports over various media outlets that George Clooney had finally popped the question to girlfriend Sarah Larson, his representatives say it’s not true. Reports claimed that they were going to have the nuptials at his home in Italy over the summer. His reps say that the rumor started with an Italian restaurateur, and that these types of rumors tend to resurface just before Italy’s springtime tourist season. Apparently, it’s believed that people will plan trips around such rumors. They do the same for Bigfoot and UFO sightings, why not a celebrity wedding that they have no hope of seeing, either?
